Our community will raise funds and collect school supplies for the Walter and Connie Payton Foundation's Back-to-School Supply Drive. At the end of August, the supplies will be donated to children in need at a Back to School Parade held in the Englewood neighborhood. Englewood is a low-income neighborhood in Chicago with 35 "troubled" schools. You can read more about the Walter and Connie Payton Foundation on their website, accessible through the Links page.

Monetary donations can be made using the Donate link at left. Alternatively, you can bring supplies to the community meeting on August 17th. The following items are needed:
-pencils
-washable glue
-crayons (24-pack size)
-spiral notebooks
-folders
-loose-leaf paper
-erasers
-rulers
-watercolor paint sets
-children's safety scissors
-backpacks
